1. Is a glass roof safe from hail?
Yes. We use certified tempered safety glass that is thermally treated for high impact resistance. It can withstand large hailstones and heavy snow loads. In the case of laminated glass (VSG), if breakage occurs, the glass remains on the interlayer and does not fall to the ground.

 

2. Will the space overheat in summer?
Glass transmits heat. For south-facing pergolas, we recommend installing shading (awnings) above or below the glass. The fascia (attika) is high enough to conceal the awning cassette. Alternatively, glass sections can be combined with insulating panels in areas where full shade is desired.

 

3. Can the fascia be clad in the same material as the house facade?
Yes, this is one of the main advantages. Façade panels (e.g., fiber cement, aluminum composite) can be mounted onto the aluminum substructure of the fascia, matching the materials used on your house. This ensures a seamless architectural integration.

 

4. Does a glass pergola require cleaning?
The slope (hidden behind the fascia) allows rain to wash away most dust. However, occasional cleaning is recommended (removing leaves, pollen) to maintain full transparency. The glass is walkable for maintenance purposes when proper safety measures and equipment are used.

 

5. Is the structure strong enough to support glass walls?
